David became a GP in 1990 after training at the University of Leeds.  He works at Brookroyd Surgery in Heckmondwike as well as being the Chair of North Kirklees CCG.  David has particular roles around contracting, quality and service redesign and has a special interest in cardiology.

Carol McKenna, Chief Officer

Carol is the shared Chief Officer for NHS Greater Huddersfield CCG and NHS North Kirklees CCG. She has worked in the NHS for more than 25  years, mainly within commissioning organisations in West Yorkshire.  Before becoming a CCG Chief Officer, Carol held the post of Executive Director of Commissioning and Strategic Development at NHS Kirklees.  She also worked as Director of  Commissioning and Service Development at the former South and Central Huddersfield PCTs.

Ian has worked in the NHS for over 20 years, the last eight years in director roles. He has experience of both provider and commissioner organisations and most recently held the post of Director of Finance for NHS England (Lancashire and Greater Manchester) where he supported the further devolution of decision making powers to Greater Manchester.

Penny Woodhead, Head of Quality and Patient Safety and Chief Nurse

Penny has worked in the NHS for over 20 years.  Originally training as a general nurse she specialised in oncology and palliative care before gaining experience in management and leadership across a range of sectors. In her current role as Head of Quality and Safety she is responsible for ensuring the standard of commissioned services, including safety, safeguarding, effectiveness, patient experience and equality.  Penny also works for Greater Huddersfield and Calderdale CCGs.

Khalid is a partner at Mount Pleasant Medical Centre in Batley .  He  is clinical lead for medicines management.

Mangipudi has been a GP since 2007.  She works at Windsor Medical Centre, Dewsbury.  She has a keen interest in women’s health and contraception, diabetes, medical education and psychiatry.

Indira has been a GP since 2011 and works at Albion Mount Medical Practice in Dewsbury. Her special interests are in gynaecology, family planning, sexual health, dermatology and medical education.

Julie has worked within the NHS for over 24 years and is currently an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in primary care.

Sarah qualified as a registered nurse in 1994 and has worked in hospital, community and practice nursing. She has a special interest in chronic disease management especially in diabetes care and primary prevention.

Chunda is a Consultant Anaesthetist with an interest in Intensive Care Medicine at Harrogate District Hospital where he has worked since 2009.
