New National ‘Blood in Pee’ Campaign

Here at NHS North Kirklees CCG we are fully supporting a new national campaign from Public Health England (PHE), the ‘Blood in Pee’ campaign, which is launching on 13 October.  This campaign aims to raise awareness of the symptoms of bladder and kidney cancers.

A key message of the campaign is that if you notice any blood in your pee, even if it is just once, tell your doctor straight away. The chances are it’s nothing serious, but these cancers are more treatable if they are found early.

You’re not wasting anyone’s time by getting your symptoms checked out and, if it’s not serious, your mind will be put at rest. But if it is a condition such as bladder or kidney cancer, early detection makes it easier to treat.

Look out for advertising on TV and radio soon – you can find out more here.
