For voluntary and community groups – Briefing event about equality and diversity in local health organisations across Kirklees

NHS North Kirklees and Greater Huddersfield CCG: Equality Delivery System (EDS2) Panel

NHS Greater Huddersfield and North Kirklees Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) would like to invite you to a briefing about equality and diversity in local health organisations across Kirklees. Involving local people and communities in developing local health services is important to us and we would like to talk to you about:

  • Involvement in the EDS2 Panel: The Equality Delivery System (EDS2) is a key way that local health services make sure that they are delivering services that are fair and accessible to all and are in line with the requirements of the Equality Act 2010. We would like our local voluntary and community sector partners to support us to deliver the requirements of the EDS2.
  • Establishing an Equality Health Panel across Kirklees: The briefing will discuss the possibility of setting up a Panel where the views of local people and groups would be shared with local health services The Panel will need to represent the diverse communities of Kirklees to make sure that we hear a wide range of opinion and experience. The briefing will last for about 2 hours and attendees will be given the opportunity to share their views and ask questions.

Tuesday 17th January 2017, 10.00 a.m. – 12.00 noon, Broad Lea House, Dyson Wood Way, Huddersfield, HD2 1GZ
