To help us plan for the future, the CCG needed to understand more about people’s expectations of their GP surgery and to test out some ideas about potential new ways of working. To do this, the CCG, embarked on engagement over an eight week period, from 1st June – 27th July 2015. The engagement was designed to capture the views of the wider public, voluntary and community groups and key stakeholders.
A survey was designed to gain feedback from patients about their views on primary care services. The survey was circulated via our existing engagement and communication mechanisms. The engagement team also attended a few GP practices and children’s centres to encourage patients to complete the survey. We also discussed it with the North Kirklees Patient Reference Group Network and held a public engagement event. Existing data was also collated and analysed to form part of the engagement process.
