Do you know Doris Clark? Doris lives on Our Street, which is a virtual street set somewhere in Yorkshire.
Doris is just one of a range of new animated characters living on Our Street who will be used to explain health service changes through their own health and social care issues.
NHS North Kirklees Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), which worked with Wakefield CCG to develop this new and innovative animated campaign, is now looking for a local person to cast as the real life Doris, to help us develop new storylines for the animated character.
Dr David Kelly, Chair of NHS North Kirklees CCG, said; “We are currently looking for someone who has a long-term condition, is accessing health services and may in the past have had hospital treatment. Basing Doris on a real life person will help bring her character to life. You don’t have to be called Doris or be the same age, you just have to watch the video at www.thisisourstreet.com and get in touch if you or someone you know has had similar experiences. We will then use your story to help develop Doris’s character.”
If you want to be cast as our animated Doris please call John Kerr on 01924 317659 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
You can also let us know what you think about Our Street by dropping us a tweet on twitter @ThisisOurStreet. Is it up your street? Can you identify with the characters? If you are not Doris you could be one of our other characters – look out for more casting calls in the future. We will be advertising in the media and on our twitter feed.
