Young people invited to support your local NHS

We are looking for enthusiastic local young people, aged between 16-25, to join our patient engagement and experience group and help make a real difference to the way local NHS services are developed and improved.

This group helps to make sure that the NHS North Kirklees Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) involves patients, carers and members of the public when it plans, develops and purchases (commissions) health services, or in some cases, discontinues services.

The group includes members of the general public, representatives of community and voluntary groups, Healthwatch Kirklees, a representative of the local authority and CCG staff.  Find out more about the role here .  The next meeting will be taking place in August.

To join the group you must be:

  • Committed to the work of the group, attending all quarterly meetings and actively participating in any discussions.
  • Willing to provide feedback on a wide range of health services.
  • A good communicator.
  • Able to work in partnership with others.
  • Have relevant experience or interest in NHS matters and/or an interest in the NHS and your local community.

To apply to join the group, simply complete and return this form providing us with as much detail as possible.

Either email your completed form to or post your completed form in an envelope to the following Freepost address – you do not need a stamp:
