Committees

 

Our Governing Body is supported in its work by a number of committees:

 

Audit Committee

The Audit Committee provides the Governing Body with an independent and objective view of the CCG’s financial systems, financial information and compliance with laws, regulations and directions governing the CCG in so far as they relate to finance, risk management systems and emergency planning arrangements. Meetings of the committee are usually held as meetings in common with the NHS North Kirklees CCG Audit Committee.

Finance, Performance and Contracting Committee

The Finance, Performance and Contracting Committee supports the CCG in scrutinising and tracking delivery of key financial and service priorities, outcomes and targets as specified in the CCG’s strategic and operational plans. Meetings of the committee are usually held as meetings in common with NHS Greater Huddersfield CCG Finance, Performance and Contracting Committee.

Primary Care Commissioning Committee

The Primary Care Commissioning Committee was established under delegated authority from NHS England. It was established to carry out the functions relating to the commissioning of primary medical services under section 83 of the NHS Act 2006.

The Committee holds its meetings in public and the agendas and supporting reports for meetings are available in the week before each meeting. Agendas and reports, including those from previous meetings, can be viewed here.

 

Quality Committee

The Quality Committee supports the CCG in delivering its aims of ensuring that the services commissioned on behalf of the CCG are of a high quality and safe. Meetings of the committee are usually held as meetings in common with the NHS Greater Huddersfield CCG Quality Committee.

Terms and Remuneration Committee

The Terms and Remuneration Committee makes decisions on determinations about the remuneration, fees and other allowances for employees and for people who provide services to the CCG. Meetings of the committee are usually held as meetings in common with the NHS Greater Huddersfield CCG Terms and Remuneration Committee

West Yorkshire and Harrogate Joint Committee of CCGs

The Joint Committee was established in June 2017 and has delegated powers from individual Clinical Commissioning Groups to make collective decisions on services including cancer, mental health, urgent care and  improving planned care.

The Joint Committee is part of the West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership. The Committee brings together the nine Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) in West Yorkshire and Harrogate. CCGs buy health services for local people in their areas.
